FIFTHNEWHEAVY 3rd Album「You Need To Know From The...Seven」

This is FIFTHNEWHEAVY's third album, released in June 2019. Through the transition of their sound from rare tracks, first and second, this third album is a full-length effort that more simply embeds the loud, heavy and noisy sound they want to express into their rhythms. Nevertheless, the narrative that can be felt from the structure of the entire album is like watching a sound film, and you will be in that world from the beginning to the end.I'm fascinated. They have a unique view of the world and have a unique presence in the Kansai independent band. This is not a detailed description of the sound, but just an image of the sound by the listener. If it is something you're interested in, please pick it up and experience their world.

●Track1 You Need To Know From The...Seven
The desperate sounding keys and the sound of sinking water remind us of underwater ruins. It's as if Port Royal has been brought back to life. This song is just a prelude to awakening a story that has sunk.

●Track2 SuicideD
The particle of the psychedelic sound heard from SuicideD is rough and sandy. It sounds like the world of 'Woman in the Sand' which was written by Kobo Abe.Is this the story of escape from the sand?In the sound sources, you can feel the carefully crafted sound here and there, which cannot be felt in a live performance.

●Track3 DamnIt
I don't know of any song that uses the single-note keys so effectively. The noise guitar, floating psychedelic sound, shrunken harp sound, and bowed bass are tremendously strong. The screaming vocals on the track expresses the pleasure on the edge of despair. It's a peculiar and beautiful song, so I can clearly imagine the image want to use it in.

●Track4 MES
A short song, but with a mescaline effect that drives, rouses, stirs and jumps. There's no need for a melodic guitar solo on FIFTHNEWHEAVY.The most important ones are the hammering rhythms and five-string grooves. Noisy guitar and sandy, rough vocals are everything in this song. This is the most important song on FIFTHNEWHEAVY's third album, so you should not hesitate to buy the international version for this song!

●Track5 MADCANT
The scale without intonation, and just something dusky and sinister swirling incessantly is like an unholy feeling manipulated by a black magician. The disquiet, as if mocked by a creature with black, wriggling red eyes, is underpinned by an indigenous drum. This is my favorite song of the 3rd.

●Track6 WIERD
It begins with crude drums and a sound reminiscent of the cries of a flock of ominous blackbirds. You are almost electrocuted to death by the heavy, fattening fifth string. Then we're painfully rained down on the fuse-blown sixth string. It is unpleasant and strange music, so while listening to it, your mind is burned by the sound, and it is the ultimate in danger. But strangely enough, it's not that bad.

●Track7 ZOEY
From the first listen, the image of the song as consistently Army-like remains the same. Line up, salute, march, crawl, and charge. It's a world of armadillos. Live music is a pleasure in the extreme. It is also a pleasant garden of pleasure to be swayed by the gentle waves of the fifth string that gently caresses you after the assault.

●Track8 INSIDE
A single-note keyboard ringing with three desperate notes, supported by a beating heart-like sound. It's a beautiful and terrifying thing, as if everything it has in itself is laid bare. FIFTHNEWHEAVY's music as a whole seems to go deep into the sanctum sanctorum of the mind, pretending to help, but ultimately it'll push you off. Of course, that's still present in this song.

●Track9 Hades
It is a suitable sound that it is exactly sounding in the underground world. Is it the unconsciousness of this world that the beat attacking the blinking lamp and the crazy noise guitar stir up? At first, the wandering ghosts can be clearly seen vaguely and gradually. What is depicted may be the ambiguous boundary between all the fuzzy worlds.

●Track10 Delight
The swell of five strings and a rhythmical tambourine mating in this brighter dance number is unusual for FIFTHNEWHEAVY.The rain of noise guitars pouring down effectively on the SANDY and SMOKEY vocals causes a slight dizziness in the body that is shaken. Both the number of notes and RiSM are quite simple, but that's why I'm amazed at how well they work together.

●Track11 FIXHOLE
This song is the key track of the third album which sounds like the first movement of the monochrome film.Although it is RiSM stable as usual, it is scorched by the noise of the guitar, and is almost bitten to death by a crazy shout of vocal. But after listening to this song for the 101st time, the fear turns into a pleasant.

●Track12 SWAY
It's tempting to abandon your dusty, hazy vision and swallow a craft bourbon knob creek with an electric lightning strike. Of course, the drinking method is rock. At the halfway point, a prayer-like light comes through and almost takes you to the other side of the world, but it's called back by the punch of a drunk electric and rock. The too long time is cunning.

●Track13 You Need To Know From The End
It's a genius composition that makes the listener more conscious of the end of the song with half the sound, even though it's the counterpart of the opening. Electronic noise is short-circuited to a simple keyboard, and a sound similar to the sound of water indicating a dark hollow is mixed. But it is not finished in this music.

●Track14 INSIDE naked.ver
This is a Requiem that is played through a heavy door. When I lost my own father, I listened to this song to soothe my heart.Even though people stop breathing, their souls are still floating for a while, and I listened to this song and sublimated my various thoughts about the soul and my deceased. It can be called music therapy in a way. I was saved. I'm very grateful for their work.
